LK SUMMEr

Modeled after the 1964 Mississippi Freedom Summer, LK Summer Initiatives are designed for students and community members to spend time learning detailed accounts of cultural movements throughout the African Diaspora and then use the knowledge gained to create contextual understanding of the culture, philosophy, and technology of today.

LK Summer 2019

The Harlem Renaissance Camp is a part of the LK Summer Initiative. It is an amazing opportunity for jr and sr high school students to immerse themselves in history for a few days.  The goal being to gain  more knowledge and appreciation for the African American experience. With the Harlem Renaissance Camp we  celebrate the contributions and resiliency of African Descendants during the New Negro Movement.

The Harlem Renaissance Camp is a Residential Experience on Bethel University's Campus.
